2. Closed toe shoes, ideally with a little half/one inch heel

3. A shirt you wouldn’t mind getting dirty or painted

4. Hair free of pins and any solid objects. This is for the purpose of wearing a helmet. Best style is a low ponytail or braid.

5. Your best attitude and readiness to learn!

Cowboy & Cowgirl costumes are welcome!

You and your child MUST wear proper shoes to participate!

Safety:

To maintain safety, please make sure to observe all of the horse farm rules below and listen to the instructors!

Horse Farm Rules:

1. Drive EXTREMELY slowly (10mph) at all times.

2. While driving, stop if you see a horse and only go once they have passed you. If you’re behind a horse, don’t drive up right behind them and only pass (at a max of 3mph) if the rider signals you to do so.

3. Everyone (both minors and guardians) must wear close-toed shoes (no flip flops, crocs, sandals or exposed skin/socks!). This is to prevent any injuries in the case of a large animal stepping on one’s foot. Participation is not possible without them.

4. No running, jumping, or making sudden movements around horses.

5. DO NOT touch or go near animals until instructed to do so. This is to prevent injuries from biting, kicking, or head swings.

6. Guardians are responsible for making sure the minors under their care follow the rules.

Once you’re in the driveway, after you pass the first horse field (on the right) and go across a gravel bridge, immediately on the left you will see a green portapotty next and a small gravel parking lot. You can park there and walk up to the barn building. Overflow parking will be slightly further up.

What Parents Say

Hear directly from parents about their experiences with our riding program!

I recommend this experience to anyone interested. Anya was super nice and walked us through the whole process. I took my son and daughter and they loved it. I will definitely go again and I will recommend this for any ages and for any families looking for something fun to do. She made my 7 year old son feel very confident and comfortable around the horses even though he was shy at first.

Benjy Handyman

The session which Anya gave about the horses was interesting and kids loved being around with the horses. Thank you for making this happen.

We brought our five year old son for horse riding lessons with Anya. In the lessons she has shown enthusiasm and patience that a five year old boy truly needs. He is most happy when he is riding Batman or Shammie and Anya is encouraging him while giving him instructions. We highly recommend her services.
